Effective Writing Practices

Quizzes and Self-Tests

All quizzes and self-tests in this tutorial have been developed using Hot Potatoes software. Hot Potatoes is designed to create interactive self-paced quizzes and exercises. Because the software was designed for self-paced learning and not testing, the purpose of a Hot Potatoes quiz or exercise is to get the student to complete all questions and find all the correct answers. The quiz is considered incomplete until the student answers the questions correctly or eliminates all incorrect choices. A quiz score will be displayed only if the quiz has been completed. The score will appear at the top of the page underneath the title of the quiz.
